Brows That ‘WOW’ Before The Big Day

“We get it- the perfect brow is getting the spotlight more than ever, and we’ve got a beauty team of experts to help you reach your brow goals before your wedding day. Let’s talk about Your options to get brows that WOW..

WAXING: Waxing is the first step to get those brows into shape, not strays allowed! We can shape the brow to compliment you facial features in 15 minutes or less. Clients who wish to wax will need to avoid retinol products and alpha hydroxy products in the area to be waxed one week prior to your appointment. First timer’s may wish to come in a month before the wedding day to ensure their skin can tolerate the wax, but otherwise, getting your wax the week of the wedding is a good timeframe. Do you have sensitive skin or didn’t have a good patch test? No worries- we can tweeze your brows into shape instead.

Brow Tinting: If you like your brows a bit darker and want more longevity than a tinted brow gel, you may want to try brow tinting. The tint is similar to a hair dye, where it processes on the brow hairs and is then rinsed off after a certain amount of time (usually 5-15 minutes). Tinting lasts anywhere from 3-8 weeks and will gradually fade as your brow grows out. For the freshest color, doing a tint one to two weeks before the wedding is recommended. Doing a ‘trial tint’ to ensure the perfect color is recommended a month or six weeks before the wedding.

Brow Henna: Brow henna is a step up from brow tinting in that it tints both the brow hairs AND the skin under the brows. This is a great option for anyone with sparse areas or anyone losing their brow tail. The henna is made from plant-based pigments and lasts longer than a traditional tint. The stain on the skin can last up to two weeks and the color on the brow will last six to eight weeks. We’d recommend doing a trial run two months before the wedding and doing it again a week or two before the wedding.

Brow Lamination: Brow lamination is a great option for anyone with kinky or curly brow hair, anyone with thinning brows, or even anyone with fuller brows looking to have a set “style”. Lamination is like perming but instead of curling the hairs, we can process them straight for a brow look that is clean, sleek, and shiny. Brow lamination is considered to be semi permanent and you will notice results for six to eight weeks before new brow hairs begin to fill in. Lamination aims to smooth and control hairs, but the brow is still flexible, meaning you can still change up the style if you want to. A trial run for lamination can be done a couple months before the wedding, and the final lamination can be done one to two weeks before the wedding for the freshest look.

Microblading- Microblading is the most permanent option for your brows, in that it’s a tattooing technique that adds pigment into the skin to create a brow. This is an option for anyone with sparse brows or anyone looking for more fullness. Microblading will include a thorough consultation with technician, so they can ensure your perfect shape. Microblading lasts anywhere from 18-30 months and will include two sessions- the first one to create your new brow, and the second session will be for touch ups and perfecting the shape. Microblading will need to be completed (both sessions) at least two months before the wedding day to allow the skin to heal.

With any service you choose, it’s important to leave the brows alone so they can grow out enough for your technician to see the full structure of your brow. If you’re unsure about which option is best for you, come in and see our Brow Expert Team— Vai, Autumn, or Jackie— and we will help you achieve the brow of your dreams in time for your big day!

XOXO- Vai
